AAIWO HELPLINE

The Association of Asian Indian Women in Ohio (AAIWO) is an organization whose mission is to reach out to Asian woman and children in the home and in the professional world.

One of the important services that AAIWO offers is the Helpline. This phone number is for women in crisis situations who need help. It offers women free professional help from qualified consultants, who direct them to the resources that are available through state and private agencies. Calls are received from women in situations of domestic abuse, or women confused about immgration status or career changes. They receive information about their options and rights, which helps them to make decisions about their lives and future. All calls and information obtained is strictly confidental.

Helpline has a broad based network of volunteers who try to provide all the support and help neccessary to make this possible. They offer all the help that is required, whether it is with advice about professional counsel or therapy, a sympathetic ear, car rides or babysitting.
